Wolf4SDL crashes before main menu!

Hi, this is my first topic and I'm working on a Wolf3D mod. I'm using the Wolf4SDL source code and Dev-C++ to make it. There is a problem, and although the title sequence works, the game crashes after that. I can't find out the cause nor how to fix it...

You can get SDL to work without making any changes to it, just compiling it right out of the box, right?

Um, I don't have the original game files, so I used those from existing mods.

Welcome to the forums. Are the file endings (e.g. wl6) the same in your mod as those in the mod the exe came from ?

Yes.

Maybe the SDL dll's are not the right version for the exe. There was a mod a few months ago where the dll's had to be changed to an earlier version to get the mod to work.

I suppose I'll need W3D's original files. Then I compile the game, and edit the files(sprites,sounds,etc) and the sdl bits with DevC++.

PS It would be great if someone sends me a fully working editable SDL source code with the right game files (vswap,maphead,etc.).

I can't send you the complete original Wolf3D game as it is still copyrighted but I've sent you some files which hopefully will work.
