Zenimax; supreme rulers of iD Software

what does everyone think about Zenimax's buying iD Software?

Personally I can't wait to see what comes of it; if this means that with iD and Bethesda both under the same parent company, that they'll be able to easily borrow and share software and make the games a billion times better than before.

While I liked Oblivion and loved Fallout 3, I wouldn't want iD under the same supervision as a company that gets away with releasing games with as many game-devastating bugs and crashes as Bethesda. As one of my good friends say, I don't want to play Oblivion now, I want to play a game that's finished later.

However, seeing Bethesda's look for the actual location of Oblivion (for those who don't follow TES, it's pretty much hell) if they were to share resources that could be great for a new Doom game, which if my knowledge is correct iD is working on one now.

Only time can tell if this is a good or a bad thing.

I personally hate when companies get bought out. I understand that it could make them more powerful (more resources at their disposal) but many times the rights to any new IP's that company comes up with get taken by the juggernaut company that owns them. I was ticked when BioWare got bought out by EA (monsters).

I guess time will tell if this is a good move for ID. Many times being bought out chokes out the smaller company's creative juices...
