escape in wolf3d crash

i was making the 9th level of my game when...
it crashed. when i escaped, it crashed. this happened only at death incarnate level. is there a solution? i think that it is lack of memory. if it is, what should i take off?

Try reducing the number of guards on the level to 146. When they are at 149 there are often crashing problems when playing using the highest difficulty level.
