Voxelstein 3D is a voxel based FPS game in the spirit of Wolfenstein 3D.
It uses Ken Silverman's Voxlap engine.

I've played Simbey's and AFADoomer's total conversions for Doom 2 and they are surprising. Go to http://wolf3d.darkbb.com/doom-modding-f6/getting-simbeys-and-afadoomers-wolf3d-and-sod-to-doom-conversions-to-work-t1153.htm or http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/adds_DOOM2.htm

AFADoomer is now working on a Blake Stone to Doom 2 conversion.

You can also get the Voxelstein demo from Fileplanet.com .

A voxel is a pixel that's foreshortened or altered in a another way in the first person shooters before Unreal like Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, Rise of The Triad, Blake Stone, and Doom. I think that Unreal and certain other games technically use polygons instead of voxels or sprites.
